History Jacksonville -Our Forgotten Downtown is back with an episode about the Elena Flats Building, a boarding house built around 1909 that is threatened with demolition. I discuss the historical significance of the building, take you thru the surrounding neighborhood, and also profile 2 other early 20th century housing structures that are currently in use. A January 28, 2015 meeting of the Historic Preservation Commission will determine it’s fate.
