History San Diego is back! In Season #4 , We’ll focus on the 1850s. In our Season 4 Premiere, we take a look at what San Diego was like back then- using statistics from The 1850 U.S. Census, examining the unique circumstances facing San Diego- by perusing the numbers of people, animals, and crops reported to exist in San Diego County. There were elections in 1850 that organized the new local county & city governments, before California was formally admitted to the Union.
